Our major areas of our practice include: ADMINISTRATIVE
LAW - We assist our clients in
navigating the often complex regulatory process. We have represented our
clients before numerous federal and state agencies. We also have brought many
proceedings challenging administrative regulations as well as administrative
methodology and determinations. BANKRUPTCY
LAW AND DEBTOR-CREDITOR RIGHTS -
We represent debtors, creditors and Chapter 7 and 11 Trustees, primarily in
commercial and individual reorganizations and loan workouts. Our clients have
included large and small corporations, partnerships and individuals, as well
as creditors and creditor committees in Chapter 11 reorganizations, Chapter 7
and Chapter 13 cases and in out-of-court restructurings. In addition, we
represent defendants who are sued in bankruptcy court.. COMPLEX
BUSINESS LITIGATION AND APPEALS
- We have extensive experience in representing clients in the state and
federal courts at both the trial and appellate levels, as well as before
various arbitration tribunals. The practice consists of a full range of
commercial matters, including partnership and shareholder disputes, real
estate, fraud, RICO, lender liability and contract litigation. We have
developed the expertise to evaluate cases at their inception and develop
strategies aimed at quick, practical and favorable resolutions of disputes.
Our approach is to accomplish our client's objectives in as timely and cost
effective manner as possible. In cases where early resolution is not possible
or is not in our client's best interest, we aggressively pursue all avenues
of litigation. Our attorneys have argued appeals in all levels of the
appellate courts of the States of New York and CORPORATE
AND BUSINESS LAW - We represent
clients in many industries in numerous types of business transactions,
including the formation of various business entities such as partnerships,
corporations, joint ventures and limited liability companies. We provide a
full array of business servicing including negotiating and drafting business
acquisition, shareholder, partnership, joint venture, employment, consulting,
non-competition, licensing, franchising, loan and other commercial
agreements. We also advise officers and directors in a number of industries
including charitable tax exempt organizations. ELDER LAW - We counsel clients on the requirements of
Medicare and Medicaid and other health care issues. In addition, we assist in
the appointment of conservators for those individuals who can no longer
handle their own financial affairs. HEALTH
CARE LAW - We represent
hospitals, nursing homes and other providers of health care and help them
understand and comply with labyrinthine regulations that govern their
operations. We have expertise in all areas of the State and Federal
regulatory processes affecting acute, long term and community based health
care facilities, from certificate of need applications, heath care
receivership and code compliance to reimbursement maximization including rate
appeals and audit defense in various Medicare and Medicaid administrative
proceedings, as well as in the federal and state court systems. REAL
ESTATE LAW - We represent
clients in a wide variety of transactions from multi-million dollar deals to
single family residences. We have represented landlords and tenants in retail
leases and office building leases. Our experience encompasses virtually every
type of real estate transaction, including purchases and sales, commercial
and industrial leasing, financing and refinancing and representation of
developers in connection with residential ventures. In conjunction with our
bankruptcy practice, we represent both lenders and borrowers in mortgage
